Schools & Education

Education is possibly the greatest weapon against Poverty.

Below are some examples of our investment into providing school infrastructure and education for marginalised children, youth and communities

Jireh School. Ngora Central Uganda

Ngora is a village about 1 hr north west of Mbale Central Uganda. JOIN-UG have acquired land which comprises a partially and derelict school building which fell into disuse many years ago due to financial collapse of the previous operator.

More recent years of covid restrictions, lockdowns and economic collapse have further exacerbated conditions and progress on this project.

It is our intent however, to restore the buildings to a useable standard and develop it further in partnership with local sustainable business investment. It is expected that suitable investments will allow a rebirth of this school for local marginalised children, youth and community members and break the poverty cycle that exists in many of these similar locations.

Hohidiai School Tobelo, Indonesia

Local Partner Embery Australia is supporting the design, construction documentation and on-site coordination for an International quality School in Tobelo, Nth Halmahera, Indonesia.

The school project emanated from Hohidiai, a Medical Mission which found itself looking after abandoned and orphaned children and realised a need to provided quality education that is lacking in the region. By providing a standard of edcation and facilities that attract the wealthy business owners and expat workers families this enables the funding to also educated the marginalised children from the base.

On an initial 5 acres of jungle that has been redeveloped for the purpose This project is well underway and is now constructing the 4th & 5th classroom pods after starting with a caretakers house and essential infrastructure and roadworks
